What does it really take to create the kind of Landscaping you see in magazines?

Someone has to come up with a Landscape Concept combining all the wish list items, with attention to the feasibility of the project and an eye on the details:

• something that is appropriate to the scale and architecture of the house
• something that is both beautiful and functional
• something that is within budget
• something that will provide a lifetime of enjoyment
• something that represents the dreams and wishes of the owners
• something that maybe includes elements that weren’t part of the original ideas but add value
• something that truly represents the owners tastes and lifestyle.

We love to sit down and develop designs.  After 20 years in the dirt building backyard dreams we know that nothing helps work through the details more than getting yourself immersed in a project.  Being able to visualize not only the structural engineering aspect but the finished project details is priceless.  This is the hardest part of the process, but weighs the most on our success.

Now, with the help of AutoCAD and 3D Landscape Design software and an iPad App, we are even more efficient.  We can present you with anything from a sketch to a full y detailed rendering, depending on your design budget, so you too can visualize the results.  AMJ can also present Engineered Detail Drawings for permits if required.

Once a plan is agreed upon, there are still lots of details to work out. 

• someone has to figure out what happens at which time of the process and define the materials.
• someone has to order and stage the materials at the right time and place so we aren’t standing still or tripping over ourselves.
• someone has to coordinate crews and supervise construction.
• someone has to communicate the days details with you, Our Customer
• someone has to be there to take your picture the first time you see your new landscape in all it’s glory.  We want to celebrate this with you.
